Park Upgrades and Winter Preparations: Making Our Park Better Than Ever!

Writer: North Devon Wake Park North Devon Wake Park

Get ready for an even better park experience! As the seasons change, we're not just enjoying the crisp autumn air; we're also hard at work making our park better and safer than ever before. We're thrilled to announce some exciting upgrades and winter preparations, with a special focus on our full-size cable area!

Revamped Path to the Cable

We know how important it is to have a smooth and safe journey to your favourite activities. That's why we've completely rebuilt the path leading to the full-size cable! Say goodbye to wooden decking and hello to a brand-new concrete path, topped with a soft astro surface for extra comfort and safety. This upgrade ensures easier access for everyone, whether you're carrying your own gear or renting from our new facility.

New Storage for Rental Gear

Speaking of rentals, we've also built a brand-new storage stand specifically for our rental wakeboards and kneeboards! This dedicated space will keep the equipment organised, easily accessible, and in top condition, ensuring you have a smooth and enjoyable ride on the cable and find the kit you need easily.

Cozy Comfort with a New Hut

No matter the weather, our new park hut will be your go-to spot for comfort and convenience. This versatile space offers:

  • Warmth in winter: A cozy shelter from the cold, perfect for warming up after an exhilarating session on the cable.

  • Dry comfort in rain or shine: Protection from rain showers and a shady retreat from the summer sun.

  • A community hub: A place for park users to gather, socialise, and share stories of their cable adventures.

Winterising Our Park

In addition to these exciting upgrades, we're taking steps to prepare the entire park for winter:

  • Aquapark deinstallation: The Aquapark is now out of the water and stored away ready for next season and the Aquapark lake looks a little empty without it and we cannot wait to have it back in the water.

  • Protecting park equipment: Winterising playground equipment, the cable system, and other park amenities.

  • Enhanced safety measures: Implementing measures to ensure park safety during icy or snowy conditions.

  • Rail upgrades: Over the winter months we will be inspecting all of the beloved plastic in the water making sure everything is in top condition and carrying out some routine repairs if needed.

Join Us in Creating a Better Park

These upgrades and winter preparations are all part of our ongoing commitment to making our park the best it can be. We believe these changes will enhance your park experience, providing a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable space for everyone in our community.

We encourage you to visit the park now or as soon as we reopen in April and experience the improvements for yourself! And as always, we welcome your feedback and suggestions as we continue to work together to create a park we can all be proud of.
